The Lack of LGBTQ Enneagram Resources

One person has attempted to solve that problem, but it’s going to take a group effort.

When I was covering the allegations against Chris Heuertz, I decided to do a bit of lurking in the enneagram community. Enneagram-based resources for spirituality, romance, sex, career advancement, and even social justice came up on pretty much every website, blog, and forum. Despite the range of the content covered, nothing covered LGBTQ+ topics like coming out, being in the closet, or the effects of homophobia, biphobia, and/or transphobia. Even content that focused on sex and relationships focused exclusively on cishet couples with no mention of any variations in gender identity or sexual orientation.

Abi Robins, an enneagram coach who trained with The Native Enneagram and noticed this void accordingly. Their enneagram work is centered around “working to incorporate all three centers” and helping others apply the principles of the enneagram in their daily lives. They teach workshops, host a weekly podcast, and offer individual coaching sessions. Robins is also a yoga therapist intern who studied at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. They combine yoga and the enneagram to help others “better understand those around them” and live more fulfilling lives.
