Previously, I have written a post about Chris Heuertz’s apology for abusing his followers. That post was inspired by a group of people coming together to share their experiences at the hands of Chris Heuertz. After doing more research on Heuertz, I discovered something rather troubling. He heavily contributed to the making of Ryan O Neal’s famous enneagram songs.

After I brought the abuse allegations to O’Neal’s attention, he responded in a brief post on June 18, 2020. With a “heavy heart” and “out of respect for everyone involved”, he postponed the production and release of his next two podcast episodes about the enneagram Intelligence Centers, in which Heuertz was a guest. Not elaborating on the nature of the allegations or other matters related to Heuertz, O’Neal stated that he was “praying for love, hope, and reconciliation”.

With one song for each enneagram type, Ryan O’Neal released these songs in an album called Atlas II under the name Sleeping at Last. These songs have been acclaimed for the masterful portraits they paint of each enneagram type. However, it may be difficult for some socially-conscious enneagram enthusiasts to reconcile enjoying art that Heuertz had a hand in creating and recognizing the nature of the abuses that he has committed on a mass scale.

It is unknown whether Ryan O’Neal will comment on the allegations in his podcast or not. However, on June 23, 2020, he apologized for the nature of his statement saying that it gave the “wrong impression”. This apology was issued after another Twitter user told him to “do better” and suggested that he collaborate with other enneagram experts.
