The Noah initiative (a.k.a. “Reclaim the Rainbow) is a movement that offers “reparation and praying” for those who “struggle courageously with same-sex attraction”. This organization offers an outlet for alleviating the anxieties that surround sexuality, which includes but is not limited to homosexuality. The Noah initiatives aims to combat the “general decline in society” as “children are indoctrinated against the peace and love that comes from Christ alone”. The name comes from Genesis 3:19 in which God establishes a covenant with His people to never again destroy the earth with a flood.

Finding its roots in Roman Catholicism, the Noah initiative suggest fasting on Wednesdays and praying the rosary as suggestions to cope with same-sex attraction. When praying the rosary, the Noah initiative suggests praying “for the conversion of those who live a homosexual lifestyle, and, in general, for an increase of a culture of chastity inside and outside the Church”. The website points out that the Noah initiative is not a “singling out” of those who struggle with various sexual sins, but a way to ask God for His grace and forgiveness.

Jacob Stein, the young Roman Catholic founder, described himself as quite devout on the website’s “About” page.
