In almost any other circumstance, most publishers wouldn’t agree to shoehorn two completely different and irrelevant works together into one book. However, Hugh Kirkpatrick did just that with the God Bless the USA Bible.

The God Bless the USA Bible is a King James Version Bible that, for some reason, includes the US Constitution, Bill of Rights (the first ten constitutional amendments), the Declaration of Independence, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the lyrics to the 1984 song “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood. The Nashville distributor anticipates its release on September 11 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Greenwood appears to endorse the sale of the Bible since it is available for pre-order on his website.

Kirkpatrick made this Bible to “inspire unity” in the US and says that he has not made it in response to any recent political or social movements. He wanted to let future generations know “how this thing called America started” and felt compelled to do so after seeing activists tear down various monuments that honored racist historical figures. At $49.99, the God Bless the USA Bible has several preorders, most of which come from Pennsylvania, Tennessee…
