Biblical Gender Roles is a blog about gender roles and Christianity or, more specifically, “…God’s purpose in life for your gender”. Under the pseudonym “Larry Solomon”, the author has created a new website called “Biblical Sexology”. Solomon announced this project on June 4, 2020 and it has posts that cover the purpose of sex, modesty for women, and what one should want from sex while following Biblical gender roles.

One of these posts is about the Candace Cameron Bure “boob incident” in which a photograph shows her husband placing a hand on her breast as a playful gesture. After receiving backlash for the photo for being “inappropriate” and breaching values of propriety and modesty, Bure clarified that the activity shown was consensual and was evidence of a healthy relationship. With the ever-growing dialogue around consent, some people may have been concerned and wanted to make sure the gesture was indeed consensual. However, Larry Solomon had a completely different take on the incident. Saying that “99 percent of women” would find the picture crude or vulgar, he blamed churches for not teaching women to “respect the masculine perspective on sex”.
