A Look Into Christian Porn
Christian porn may sound like an oxymoron, especially to those with more conservative sexual attitudes. However, the concept isn’t exactly unheard of. Uncovering Intimacy defines Christian porn as sexually explicit material created by a married (presumably cishet) couple for their own personal use. Under this definition, the couple cannot profit off of their work or involve others in it. Logically, these restrictions place limits on production value and the types of fantasies that can be re-enacted.
A proposal on Sex in Christ places similar restrictions on the actors themselves, but seems to permit other people to film and for those involved to profit off of their work. Under this proposal, the porn produced will emphasize consent, equal pleasure, and instructions that many generations of Christians have missed under abstinence-only sex education. These productions will be used to affirm relevant values such as faith, family, monogamy, and the concept of Christian marriage. The proposal aims to undo unrealistic expectations of the opposite sex and warped views of sex and sexuality.
